“The playful relationship” In a relationship, I don’t always want it to be a romantic dinner. It can be playful. It can include the nice fancy dinner, but as long as we spend it together, we won’t need to go out and buy an expensive dinner.  A playful relationship is a healthy relationship because knowing that I can laugh around you means that I am comfortable around you.  We can laugh at any moment. If I throw water in your face, it just means I am trying to get your attention. If we are cleaning up our dishes after dinner, I am going to spice it up somehow so it makes everything more fun. Who doesn’t want a playful relationship? Everyone fantasizes about a romantic date being out wearing something very expensive and looking very nice as they both eat dinner at an exclusive restaurant. The best kind of playful relationship is where the two enjoy each other’s company.

They love each other an incredible amount.

On October 12, 2010, via surrogate, they had twins. Harper Grace and Gideon Scott:

And tonight, June 24, 2011, after New York passed the Marriage Equality Bill, they proposed to each other. They are now engaged.

And now, they can get married.

The best relationship is when you two can act like lovers and best friends. It’s when you have more playful moments than serious moments. It’s when you can joke around, let each other have piggy backs, have unexpected hugs and random kisses. It’s when you two give each other that specific stare and just smile. It’s when you’ll rather stay in to watch movies, eat junk food and cuddle, than go out all the time. It’s when you’ll stay up all night just to settle your arguments and problems. It’s when you can completely act yourself and they can still love you for who you are. 

Not every relationship is going to be a fairytale. You’re going to have your ups & downs. Don’t give up just because of one sticky situation, because if you truly love that person, you’ll be back to the way you were at the end of the day.
